🏏 Swing big, miss big - Indonesia recently moved to ban social media commerce, a trend taking the industry by storm. TikTok will end up missing out bringing its app to its 113 million person user base.
Lazada was quick to move in, trying to woo Indonesian sellers to come to the app. According to CNBC, Lazada is offering:

📦️ 0 shipping fee for 2 months
💵 $19.19 (300,000 Indonesian rupiah) in seller solution credit
Jianggan Li, CEO of Momentum Works is also optimistic on TikTok’s ban. Prior to the ban, the TikTok became the 3rd largest ecommerce platform in the country
"The potential ban will definitely benefit Shopee and Tokopedia, which had found it operationally difficult to defend against TikTok Shop,"
Quick Facts: Rider looking to acquire BlueEx’s logistics arm
🔍️ Who they are - Rider is a YCombinator backed startup from Pakistan that offers ease of use, quick, transparent and flexible deliveries to its users. BlueEx, on the other hand, is a one stop company from Qatar that offers logistics services for ecommerce companies. It’s the first logistics company in Pakistan’s Stock Exchange.

🤖 Flippi - Flipkart’s next annual event, The Big Billion Days (TBBD) will be a test for the company’s new AI: Flippi. The AI assistant guides customers by giving buying advice for the indecisive buyers according to their best needs.
