Meesho welcomes non-GST sellers: What does that mean?

📦️ What is non-GST: GST stands for Goods and Service Tax, which oftentimes makes goods and services more expensive. A non-GST seller does not need to charge and collect this tax, which could mean that items are much cheaper.

🛍️ Why non-GST: Meesho stated that these non-GST sellers have unique patterns where they are highly motivated and focus on local goods like fashion, electronics, home and kitchen. India’s government eliminated GST registration for small ecommerce businesses, which could balloon to have 10 million sellers in 2027

📈 An entrepreneur’s dream: The move brings more power to entrepreneurs by making costs cheaper, a major advantage with the growing ecommerce industry in India expecting a 55-60% CAGR
