Lazada Philippines gets protections at the checkout

Lazada has partnered with insurtech firm Igloo to offer Filipino shoppers peace of mind with their online purchases - where, according to Statista, 25% of respondents said they made online purchases at least once a month.

It gives buyer protection plans during into Lazada's checkout process. The plan details and costs are all laid out clearly, so you know exactly what you're getting for a small additional fee.

These protection plans come in three:

1. Electronics and Gadget Protection: This plan shields your prized electronics from accidental drops, spills, theft, and even loss. It even throws in professional repairs at authorized centers.

2. Merchandise Protection: This protects your non-electronic purchases from accidental damage and theft.

3. Product Liability Protection: Worried about a bad reaction to a new product? This plan covers you for chemical burns and severe allergic reactions to beauty products bought on Lazada.
