ChatGPT store is open for business

ChatGPT fans have been counting down and awaiting the release of the much anticipated ChatGPT store. The marketplace will allow GPT Plus and Enterprise users to create their own GPT agent without coding and monetize them by making it available on the platform’s store. Others have the option to download or pay for the GPT you created.

Not only does this present a new way to sell digital products in the form of AI, but it opens up the potential for ecommerce and store friendly AI that can be listed in the marketplace. For a subscription of $20 per month, ChatGPT Plus users will also be given access to Dall-E for image generation, data analysis and access to the GPT-4 language model, which can process more complex prompts like emotions. The right AI agent can possibly result in a bigger return on investment for the monthly subscription.

The release of the store was originally went to release in late 2023 but was delayed to early 2024 after leadership issues at OpenAI where Sam Altman was fired and quickly rehired again.
