Amazon is taking a gamble on AI dominance by investing an additional $2.75 billion into Anthropic.

• Anthropic is an AI startup founded by ex-OpenAI researchers who created the chatbot named Claude 3.

• It’s said to outperform ChatGPT and Google's Gemini on industry benchmark tests.

🎁 What makes Claude 3 so special

According to CNBC, it can:

• Summarize massive amounts of information, (like a 150,000 word book vs ChatGPT's 3000 word limit).

• Can handle images and documents

• Benchmark tests suggest Claude 3 might be the top dog in the AI assistant arena

Anthropic will use AWS's computing muscle to train and run Claude 3 and its other AI models.

AWS customers will get exclusive access to their AI tools through a service called Bedrock. Companies of all sizes can jump right in and build AI applications for themselves
